Arrow SPL Toe Arms

The WHAT

SPL makes some of the best upgraded suspension I've ever seen.

In this case, the rear toe arms on the SS 1LE are eccentric to adjust toe in and out. The SPL arms throws away the g0d d@mn movable suspension piece and TTY bolts (look it up) and replaces it with this *ta-da*

The WHY
The local Pep-boys did custom alignments for me, neat.

They also didn't tighten the rear adjustment... so it was moving WHILE i was driving and shredding the lil tabs that hold the washer in the first place, not neat.

Summary
If you track your car, get these... otherwise pretend this thread never happened.

*Pro tip... Vivid Racing is an SPL vendor, and offers % off from time to time

What made you go with SPL instead of BMR im in the market for suspension components but i noticed that SPL are alot more expensive then BMR.

SPL = $368 @ vivid

BMR = $269

For the $100 difference, get the better product.

Great info!

So, for us hillbilly non-1LE guys, is this a worthwhile upgrade on a mostly street & 1/4 mile car? Or really just a track item?

I got a little different let me know if I have the wrong components.

SPL Rear Toe Arms w/ Ecceentric Lockout Kit $386
BMR rod end $289

SPL Titanium Series Rear Lower Traction Arms $359
BMR lower Trailing arm $229

SPL Titanium Series Rear Upper Traction Arms $359
BMR Upper Trailing arm $229

SPL Titanium Series Rear Upper Control Arms $359
BMR upper control arm $229

SPL total $1463
BMR $976
Difference $487

Is it worth the deference?

The SPL stuff is only worth it for the serious track junkie who wants the best. SPL stuff is made out of light weight Titanium whereas the BMR stuff is just DOM steel.

So if saving every ounce possible and having the best of the best is worth it to you then SPL is worth the 500$ difference. IF not well save some money and buy BMR.. I personally LOVE SPL's stuff and at some point in time plan on using their full catalog.

I seriously looked at this option... maybe on the next one. I'm not too keen on adding weight, probably should of been this time! I am curious though how that locking clamp holds up... will be waiting further reviews

I have similar clamps on the Ground Control aluminum lower control arms on my BMW track car. Never had an issue, and they have been on there for over 100 track events since 2004.

BTW, the SPL parts are aluminum, not titanium, according to their website. Probably need to add a zero to the price tag for Ti...

So for anyone that is interested in the full lineup of SPL parts here are the links broken up from front and rear. You can probably get them cheaper at Vivid Racing or any other vendor but at least you know the part # required.

In addition to the advantages stated in the first post, this should also allow more range of adjustment for rear toe. That, in turn, should allow more rear negative camber without toe-in. If this mod were allowed in the class I compete in (autocross), it would probably the first mod I would do.
