feature:
1. Move the shift lever to the left
from D (Drive) into the side
gate marked with +/−.
2. Press the shift lever forward to
upshift or rearward to
downshift.
While using the DSC feature, the
vehicle will have firmer, quicker
shifting. You can use this for sport
driving or when climbing or
descending hills, to stay in gear
longer, or to downshift for more
power or engine braking.
That's awesome, I'm pretty sure this did not exist in the previous gen ZL1.
Love having the 3 options; guess it will depend on my mood as to which one I use.

A) Keep in D and let the car shift automatically
B) Use paddle shifters
C) Shift using the DSC
D) Keep it in neutral and wait for a Vette, Viper or Hellcat...ha ha

haha, nice, yes I definitely like that they included this.

I would likely use the feature coming from a stop turning left (and now that i think about it...probably turning right as well).

Having to have my hand on the upshift paddle in the 12 o'clock (or even worse 11 or 10 o'clock) position while turning left has always been awkward for me, much rather have one hand on the wheel and the other shifting.

Now I just have to buy one to see how I like it.

Great Mr. "W"
Would like to add the following
Where's:
Zl1 s are built in GM's Lansing, MI Grand River assembly plant.
Zl1 LT4 engines are built at the GM Tonawanda, NY powertrain plant. No ZL1 engines are built in Bowling Green, KY.
ZL1 Ten speed automatics are built at the GM Romulus, MI Powertrain plant.
All Six speed manual transmissions are built at two facilities in Queretaro, Mexico by Tremec whose worldwide headquarters are located in Mexico City, Mexico.
Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar Generation 3 tires are produced in Akron, OH (?)

Thanks for the suggestion - I've added those to the list.

As soon as we get confirmation of tire production, I'll add that, too!

Can you go into manual mode on the fly with the flick of the paddles like in the 5th gen, without actually moving the shifter to manual mode?

I'll let you know in about a week if you don't find the answer before then.

How about adding the changes / differences between 5th Gen and 6th Gen ZL1's?
