Just reaching down and pulling the hood release on the return road helps to , the hood stays popped on the safety latch no problem at those low return road speeds.

Oh believe me I did feel it after a 35 mile drive in 90 degree heat. Backed it in the garage and put my hand over the Vent and bam it was hot. I have a couple ideas that I did on my G8GT and it worked pretty well. Stand by as it involves moving some air. So, I just don't remember having that issue with my 16 ss with the two vent. I've been around this sport for years and thought I figured it all out but you just never know who can figure something else out that I didn't. Thx for passing that on, I looked at the seal at the cowl and that is more of a problem with the way the seal is attached, can't just pull it out or slid it out the other end.

That w/strip is part of the entire black plastic enclosure that goes around the wiper arms and all the way up to the base of the windshield . Be interesting to hear what else you know.

Let's say I've forgot a lot after 54 years of racing. I've had 6 years experience with this platform and the C7 platform. So just a little for sure.

If you guys make it to indy sct I'll be there for sure. More or less in the pits hyping up friends that are competing.

Keep on chopping at it Laynlo!
Since the blower route may not happen I'm pretty sure I'll just go ahead with
Speed Engineering 1 7/8 long tubes, X-pipe, I loved my SE on my C7. Great sound and fit. I think we can get it deep in the 11s, probably 11.20s or teens. Still thinking about unleashing the trans and I think we could run in the 10s if we can work on the shifts, moving the RPMS up since we are on shifting at 6300 as we are limited to GMs stock trans tune.

I’m really chomping at the bit for a trans tune. Would be really good if it picks up a couple tenths there

According to King about 3 tenths. Cost is about the same for me using the SE setup. I'm trying to remember if I'll need 02 extensions, I didn't on my C7 but don't remember on the Camaro

Another thought for ya on engine fan operation. You may have noticed that when you put A/C on while sitting still and the door open so you can hear, the fans come on almost immediately. Just remove the a/c compressor fuse leave the car in the a/c position and blower on low and the fans while be running all the time at the track when ever the car is running. The fans will be on during the slow speed return road also. I do believe the fans go off like at 35 mph and up .

Well another one I hadn't heard of on the fuse pull. Not sure when the fans go off but we'll for sure turn them up and on earlier. Thx again.

Ok thanks, got my order ready to go. I didn't recall on my 2016 SS if I used them or not.

I'll just order them with all the other parts. Maybe I'll run across a deal on a blower over the winter. Right now I'm concentrating on getting ready for the LS Fest in September and the cool air in the fall to really dial it in. Its usually much cooler at the LS Fest then what we normally see here in June, July and August. Got my Hotel, Registration is done for Drag Racing and I'll be ready no matter how slow or fast I run.
