Maybe it’s just the dealers I’ve used, but it typically take over a 2 hours to get an oil change.... By the time you drive there, check in, get the oil changed , check out and drive home. I do it myself on all vehicles. It’s cheaper, takes the same or less time and there’s no concern(s) about collateral damage while in someone else’s hands.

I never let a dealer do my maintenance. I got an 2016 duramax that I let them do that, but nothing else. I did my first oil change couple weeks ago after the whipple install. Went and bought my oil and filter, "Mobile Synthetic" and 15000 mile Mobile filter. Didn't realize I needed lift pads, so I took it up the road to a 5 minute lube shop and that's what I will do for now own. I have a beater work car that I took to same place months ago as I didn't care too much about the beater, but the way they failsafe check their work, I like it. You stay in the car and can hear every checkoff, then a second tier person jumps in pit and double checks work. Only cost $20 to change.

I realize that. Double checked with the dealer shop and they said it's fine.

Yeah some shops won't allow customers in. Theirs do since their oil change area has an underground pit.

Welp, it can't be cheaper than free, can it?

Also, I don't have access to most of my tools at the moment.

Of course, when the "free trials" end, that's when I will do it on my own.

When I was waiting for my car to get into the shop, I just ordered some parts from the parts department and then did some insurance paperwork on my totaled C7 on my laptop. Not a big deal to me.
