Update - installed pump today and it appears to play nice with the FPCM during normal driving conditions. I’m going to keep the stock tune in it for a while to wring it out before putting the E85 setup back on it.

I’ll post an update after I understand what level of E it will support and put it back on the dyno.

Couple WOT pulls today and no issue with the FPCM. All seems good. Excited to get the Flex setup back on it.

All good so far. At E53 with solid high & low side pressure. No issue with the FPCM with 93 or E so far. The car runs great at E50 and based on traction is making more power than ever.

I’ll be out of town for a week but hope to log E60 tomorrow before I go. I will move to E70 if E60 looks good and then on to full E85. I’ll dyno at the threshold of street tuning because I didn’t see the low side issue on the dyno.

My obvious goal is to see solid pressure at E85 so I don’t have to monitor E%.

So far so good.

Let’s ensure it works with data and then I’ll provide all the part numbers for a DIY. It’s a pretty easy modification, but maybe someone will build assemblies.

Did you change anything in the tune? This is a huge success.

Didn’t change anything in the tune. The pump works without issue on stock or E85 tune. No codes or issues of any kind.

Unfortunately the full value of the DW400 pump won’t be realized in this project. The lowside was solid at E60, but the high side lost almost 2K PSI WOT @ 5800 RPM in 4th gear. I don’t have plans for a cam change, so I’m staying at around E40.

Really wanted to see performance above E70, but it won’t happen with my car. I can build another one for someone who has a larger cam lobe or high side pump if anyone wants to take the project from here.

Oh no, so basically what you are saying is that without going with a cam, adding the upgraded fuel pump does not seem worth it? You ran E40 before the change, correct?
