IMO the rough riding suspension is the best part of the ZL1 1LE, the way it reacts abruptly to heavy throttle from the LT4. Straight out of the showroom it feels and drives like a real race car, albeit 3800 lbs with vented seats, a heated steering wheel, Carplay, etc.

I can't imagine anything in that price range coming closer to my automotive dreams. I was watching the Netflix documentary Shelby American last night and as I watched footage of them building and racing Cobras, Daytona Coupes and GT350s I realized again that I'd chosen the perfect car. I snuck out at 1 am despite the light drizzle falling to drive up the canyons for another wild bumpy ride along Mulholland. After 1 year this car still scares me sometimes and I love that.

I like the front end with the dive planes. I'll be going that route as I have to replace the front lip anyways (previous owner apparently loved curbs), and I'll be going with all of the front zle stuff, just not the wing.

Yeah Crosive, I do understand about the front splitter. I have a scrape on the underside of mine that can’t be seen so I definitely don’t plan to replace it anytime soon! The spot is about the size of a half dollar.

That must be what the other thread concluded then. All trunks were updated in 2018, not only the ZLE, but the 16s and 17s aren't reinforced. Either way my 2016 trunk with a C7 Carbon wing hasn't dented at 165mph. Could be due to their larger bases or the replica not producing as much downforce.

I need to look in mine then. I had a 2017 2ss and it didn't have any reinforcement. I've not looked at my 2018 that close I guess
