2020 Order-Out. What Percent off Did You Get

Hi Guys,
I am ordering a 2020 1SS Convertible soon with a MSRP of $45,190.
My question is what are you folks getting off MSRP as a discount?
That is without tax, title and document fee, no trade involved.

Local WI Dealer said he could do 7% off ($3,163 discount) plus whatever rebates available on delivery date, but I saw a Dealer on cars.com with 13% off ($5,874).
Is 13% too much to ask?
Anyone higher than that?

Thank you in advance, Bear

Invoice pricing is about 9.xx off. Shoot for at least that much.

The rebates are around $1500. That will get you to $4663. There are special rebates that you might qualify for.

My vote is to work them harder or find another dealer.

The rebates today won’t apply. It’s the rebates at time of delivery. That’s when you actually buy the car. So they may be the same. Or better or not as good. You roll the dice.

I'm not a shrewd negotiator. Dealer gave me around 4k off plus the $500 rebate on my $54,300 2020.

If I were to order again, I'd demand invoice price and keep shopping dealerships until I found one that would cooperate.

This^

I would not pay more than invoice, and have been happy paying invoice in the past. Anything better than that, is just cake I think.

Invoice is a very fair price for both parties imo.

While its risky as heck to pay before delivery, you can technically sign the paperwork anytime you like.

I ordered my 5th Gen 1LE, yes at invoice, and was lucky enough to get one of those $1,000 Private Offers on the Chevy website that expired in 30-days. I lucked out again, and the car arrived within days of expiration, but I was prepared to sign to not lose that extra $1,000 off.

I wouldn't do it - not sure it can be done in every state. In CA I was told it's not possible to write up the contract until the car is physically there to deliver. Maybe just dealer rules not sure.

Rules around dealerships are weird. In TX at least, they cannot be open Sundays, or only one day per weekend or something weird. Been like that since I moved here as a kid.

There needs to be a VIN for the paperwork to be completed. I signed for my stuff shortly after my car had started being built.

Where can someone check invoice on a 2020 Camaro, other than with dealer? Thanks

Very true.
In WI it has snowed each of the past two days.

Looks like I will seek any new 2019 rebates through Black Friday week then order out if nothing shows up.
