If your dog will stay in the back seat I recommend that for safety reasons, however mine has deemed the passenger seat the most comfortable. I definitely recommend the seat belt tether as well, these are definitely small cars but I wouldn't miss out on taking my dog anywhere
Great pic. My last dog rode in the back seat of the Camaro in his dog bed for vet visits with my dog seatbelt attachment connected to to his harness.

Appreciate it, I've tried keeping her in the back seat but she doesn't seem to be a fan of it. The last thing I tried was folding the rear seats down as a flat space and that seems to work, but then I lose the seatbelt attachment.

They definitely have their riding preferences

For sure. My dog was 14 when I got my Camaro and was already mellowing out in the car by that age and was content just chilling on his bed. He wasn’t like that at all when he was younger.

I've been driving the kids to school for about three weeks now with about three more weeks or so to go until the middle son gets his DL and starts driving them in his Mustang.

Our Yorkie doesn't like the kids leaving, so he's been driving with us every morning. He gets into a routine fast, so he goes to the driver side door, waits for me to open it and hops in. He loves it. He's light enough that there aren't any scratch marks.

got a 55lb lab that i take in my 1le.
I put a thick blanket down, and hes got a headrest seatbelt thing to hold him in.

Mainly lots of nose prints on the windshield. He will occasionally put a leg through the passenger window and his nails scratched up the lower window rubber seal. No biggy. He def likes the SUV more though

I'll get another dog again one day possibly but the Camaro is my only car.
I don't want to get another "dog car" since I'll probably go everywhere with him/her and I'd never drive the Camaro (work from home). Plus it's just me and I don't want to leave him alone at home if I don't have to. I'll have to accept I'll just have to work a bit harder at keeping it clean.

Anyone take their dogs with them fairly often?
Never in my Camaro, always in my truck.

I've never let my pups drive, but they have ridden with me.

The long hair from the ladies is bad enough to tolerate, absolutely no way a dog (or any animal is riding inside of my car.

If you put the dog in the back seat you could put a baby crib mattress protector/sheet on the bottom cushion of the seat and the back rest. Thats what I have under the two car seats.

Theres also some interior plastic film you could put in the door jamb or wherever else the dog might scratch. https://www.amazon.com/WINOMO-Transp.../dp/B071S264K7
