Yeah, they released it to be a Mustang fighter and it was an awesome car, but they never marketed it or cared to keep it afloat. I guess they expected it to just automatically have the fame of the Mustang with 0 effort on their end.

They realized trucks and SUVs were the money makers and just focused on them. Now with more environmental regulations they sacrificed the Camaro to keep the more profitable vehicles in focus. I get it from a short term profit standpoint, but they are neglecting so many customers and its turning us away from the brand. I was considering Chevy for my next family SUV purchase but its not even on my list anymore.

To each their own. I own my Camaro, my wife has her Impala, and I have my Tahoe. Whatever happens to the Camaro happens. It would NEVER change my mind about how I feel about my Tahoe. Never...! My Tahoe is an Awesome SUV. I would not trade it for any other full size SUV.

The Tahoe is awesome, I agree. But I am saying the way Chevy is going I don't plan to buy from them again after I get my Camaro. The company has become something that I don't care to support anymore, on top of them having the issues I have had in the past and the current woke vision they have for their future. Its just not in my interest to stick with Chevy, at least for now.

I won't discard the idea of buying one of their full size SUVs until I know more about their GEN6 V8, and what platforms they put it in. But yes, slapping a Camaro badge on an EV Blazer means the branding is over/diluted and they are wringing that rag for every last drop of cred from it, no going back.

Yep, I get it... Like I said... to each his own. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a few different vehicles Chevy still produces. Corvette, Blackwing, Tahoe, Silverado, Sierra... and more. I don't let a lot of things like a "company going woke" (whatever that means) bother me. If they make a product I like and want to own. I'll buy it.

Going EV for a performance brand makes a lot of sense. It's getting really hard to get the performance out of an ICE engine with the EPA fuel mileage ratings that can compete.

They can go turbo, and they have with the 2.7L that's mainly used in the trucks.

I'm actually excited to see GM go electric, they have a lot of wonky ideas in their past, but can really do some impressive engineering as well. I do hope they learn some lessons from Ford and don't slap the name on a CUV like the Mach-E. It's a decent-ish CUV but the namesake is not really a marketing success.

Maybe they've changed the entire rear knuckle of the car after not introducing any moderate changes in the last three years but I'm leaning towards the side of a shotty Photoshop job.

Mike beat me to it a few replies up

So nice of GM to give a final middle finger with skimping on the photoshop of their 'farewell announcement'
Kudos to both of you - and what this smells like is:

"Wow, Dodge just put out a huge 170 announcement, about time for us to finally mock up something about the last ICE Camaro and get it out in a day or two."

Even though it pains me to say it because I hate Ford so much, but GM needs to take a look over at Ford and take notes. The new generation Mustang carries on the V-8 tradition, the Maverick hybrids sold out, Broncos still selling faster than they can make them. The F150 a constant best seller, and the smaller Bronco Sport is even selling pretty well. The Raptor versions of the trucks are still selling over MSRP. GM has lost it's mojo, and needs to get back in the game with some affordable, fun vehicles that don't run on Energizer batteries...

GM had profits of 10+ billion last year, that is all that matters. Selling 25k cars a year is not viable, as much as I would love to see the Camaro continue, it isn't economically viable and that is all that matters to GM or any company in any industry.

I think I'm just going to buy which ever cars have the least amount of screen, because with all the EPA / EV trash under the hood, you can't really buy a good car anymore.

Ha, I didn't notice that. But if you rewatch the video from around 43 seconds, you can indeed see the panther reflection walking along
