it can still make sense to get a 1LE to drag it. You can sell the wheels and the 1LE suspension parts to recoup most of the cost of the 1LE package. Then u still have the seats and the spoiler. The diff and magrideseems like a negative here tho.
Th400 with a manual valve body wouldn’t be too fun on a road course

TH400 are so strong, but such a black hole of powerloss. It's amazing no one has come up with a better option in 50 years.
I have autocrossed a drag prepped car (that could run a consistant 9.20) with a custom built TH400, just for the heck of it. It was extremely slow obviously, but the legit SCCA guys loved it, it was one of the craziest things they had seen from my understanding.

Oh I agree, I have magride, not that I’m fast. And a drag program from gmpp would be nice too if there’s improvements to be had, Just thinking in terms of a car taken as far as a th400 id probably want light adjustable drag shocks and more diff options

M6 does have two trans coolers stock, one horizontal, one in the radiator

Well the motor is all back together and ready to mate up to the TH400 so I will know soon how its all gonna work out.

Putting a TH400 in a 6th gen camaro 1LE seems insane to me. The Tremec is the heart and soul of the car! It's an absolutely amazing transmission and you're just...tearing it out? Because you want an auto for drag racing? Then why did you get a 1LE?
The car will be crippled on the road. But I'm sure you know all that and you have your reasons. Good luck. |

I'm guessing you are talking about the module that plugs into the clutch sensor on the car. In our cars the clutch sensor is tied into the fuel tables and power delivery, ect. so we need a module to plug into there that basically tricks the stock computer into thinking that the stock transmission is still in the car in order for the car to run properly with any aftermarket transmission like a TH400 or a powerglide, ect. But if you have an automatic you dont need the module.
