Indeed. But the writing is on the proverbial wall given theyve released official COPO cars with a new facia.
How they implement it for an SS is another question tho. It is easily visible that a painted cross bar is an add on (cut out on either side of it vs a solid piece). We will have to stay tuned i suppose...

I'm willing to bet that the black cross bar on the SS fascia is a snap in piece as well. I doubt GM two tone paints the front fascias. If I had to guess, the black "bar" snaps into the already body colored front fascias. It's probably not even a bar, but a cap. There's probably tabs on the back of the black cross bar and slots on the painted fascia.

Wouldn't be surprised if you were right here. If so a real easy "fix".

If that’s true, then this would be an option already available on the configurator. I think

I think they need to figure out proper PR to announce it incl whether this will be an option or a wholesale change for all future cars. Lots to consider here imo.
Plus figure out what and how to handle cars sold thus far. Not an easy task i think...

Watch it be an accessory you can buy after purchasing the car.

You can buy an ugly car, but for an additional $500 (or whatever the price will be) you can make it look like it should of in the first place.

But it would be interesting if you could choose one or the other when building the car. And see which sells more.

But since the goal is to sell new cars I think GM better make some changes as they are in 3rd place with this body style vs 2 other models which are outselling them.

That's why they have just refreshed the gen6 model. And apparently due to public opinion altered the front end a bit further.

I think one of the issues is Chevy actually has a some what reasonable step up in costs alternative and that is the Vette which competes for upper Camaro sales. I also think that’s why the discounts aren’t that good compared to Stangs and Chargers. They want to sell their helo car, the vette. I’m a Camaro guy, I actually like the ZL1 look more compared to any GM car. Hell I could by a Vette cheaper then the ZL1’s I’m looking at but I don’t want a Vette. Just one of my thoughts. There are other reasons too, to me the 6th gen loses some sales to the larger folks who are far more comfortable in a challenger. I’m 5’7”, never considerd a Harley because they seem to be directed more toward the larger crowd, similar situation here. Styling can be some of it. I like the top of the line Stangs like the GT350r but you have to have $’s or be stupid to pay what Ford wants for those cars compared to Chevy. No offense to anyone, just my opinion.

it's only been this week that they got some in locally. I looked at one slotted between 6 2018s. the rest they were hiding in the back.

This will shock the people that "have to see it in person" and don't trust the new magic of photography , but it actually looks the same as in pictures.

So being that GM has decided to fix the "refresh" of the 2019s, what does that mean in terms of timing?

There will be the new bowtie grill 2019s on the lot for now that most people don't like (I don't mid them that much).

Then in a few months?, 2019s will show up with the better looking front end?
