Had the 4 year old OEM battery replaced this week. Voltmeter was reading 15.2v even after a 30 mile highway drive in 6th. While it's true that the voltmeter is showing what the alternator is putting out, it should drop to 13-14v range after a few miles if the battery is in decent shape. I drive at least twice a week during the winter...easy to do with a bit of planning to avoid wet and salty roads.

Load test at the dealer showed 27% charge, with 29% maximum charge. So just like tires, batteries should be periodically checked, and replaced before they fail.

Not today, but the other day I finally figured out how $%$$!@!$'ing stupid the battery mounting in the car is...... Engineers would truly step over 72 virgins to ##$#$! a tech/owner. Which led me back to the front and next day or half day off I'm getting the trickle charger/maintainer hooked up. Also I am a brutally honest person, I might bitch about it, but make no mistake I'm giggling like a schoolgirl every time I drive my car.

Finally got the Wickerbill in from the factory and installed, Did the 1500 mile service, Put a set of DWS06+ tires, Window tint and last did the PPF and ceramic coat. Breaking period over and Damn this car is fun.
