Each of the mid-size trucks has their positives and negatives, but I honestly feel that the best all around is the GM twins. I don't see the new Ranger / Tacoma, Frontier, or small RAM coming before the 2023 model year either, so I think it's all good on the front. I just feel they are getting a bit long in the tooth in terms of fresh look...some minor changes would be welcome...assuming they look good. lol.

TSB out for the 8 speed transmission for those of y'all that have it. Fluid flush and replace. Appears to have solved the problem.

Yep, I posted the TSB in a few other threads here. It basically says if the customer complains about it, then do it, with no diagnosis needed. Also, I've seen another document which instructs dealers to change all the fluid in any inventory they have on the lot that has the old fluid still.

The new fluid does seem to be holding up better. We'll see.

Debating telling my dad to just take his Canyon in even though it's been fine. It'll probably save him some trouble in the long run.

Mine is going in tomorrow for my 2nd complimentary oil change. I added the TSB for them to perform. I've seen a few minor "shudders" over normal operation but nothing like I've seen described. I'd rather head this off myself regardless.

Which years/models does this affect? I have a new 2019 Cadillac CTS and noticed some funny shifting patterns...harsh at times and some lags here and there. Does anyone have a copy of the TSB to post?

This is great news, as I have been following this on the Colorado/Canyon forums. It does seen to resolve the shifting issues. Can we "assume" the 2020's will already come with the new fluids? I am looking forward to ordering me a 2020 Colorado Z71 QCB 4x in Oct.

I have only built a 2019 Colorado online about 40-50 times...lol. (along with many other trucks, including the Blazer and other SUV's)

I think it'd be safe to assume that.
