LAST UPDATE

OK pictures below are of the last two pieces that I intend to add to my car. First one is the surround piece that goes around the start stop button and the second is the piece that goes around the door handle. Note that they FORGOT to send me the piece that goes DIRECTLY behind the door latch handle in the cupped area so that will also be added. The third pic shows what the entire door panel looks like with the door spear, the window switch and the door latch pieces all installed. I spent roughly 1400 dollars on the seventeen pieces that I ordered and have now installed.

I think the money was well spent but of course that is a subjective decision. The ONLY pieces that I havent ordered and installed are those that I dont particularly like the looks of (again, all subjective).

Love the door spears. Those will likely be the last piece i purchase as they are pretty expensive but so worth it. I have the window button switch covers and ignition button surround on the way. I also have the speedometer chrome delete from next gen speed on the way too (back ordered).

You dont need to pull it completely off but just enough to slide that half of the spear UNDER where that pad sits. Do that SIDE of the spear BEFORE the other side

2nd tip. Use a dentists pick or an ice pick to help separate the paper backing off the adhesive side that is going to stick on to the original bezel.

Below are picks of the door spear which is my favorite piece so far.

I have but just TWO more pieces to install. The LOWER dash accent pieces and
a small piece that can be seen at the top of the instrument cluster when you look thru the windshield at the top of the dash.
How close do your covers sit.. Any gap through the channel that exposes the light.. I can see silver and it bothers me.

can you post up some close ups.. thinking about painting blk to alleviate the problem.

Well I am not seeing the issue you described. See pics below. HOWEVER you could make the cover fit TIGHTER to the molding underneath if you used some double sided tape like pictured below and just lay it CLOSE to the edge of the split in the carbon fiber piece.

Last Piece Installed

Just installed the last piece of CARBONADDONS on my car that I intend to. BELOW is a pic of the door handle pieces. I say pieces because each door handle has the OUTSIDE piece that basically outlines the door handle and the SECOND piece is the one that goes BEHIND the handle in the cupped area.

All in all I have installed seventeen pieces. I like them all but my favorites are the OUTSIDE Mirror Covers, The shifter knob piece, the large door spears and the piece that encases the entire area around the shifter (console piece).

I like them but I could live without the start stop button, the door handle piece and the small piece that goes on TOP of the instrument cluster and is visible when you look through the windshield from the outside of the car. I could live without the small cupholder piece as well.

I have mentioned this before but I LIKED the SHARK FIN piece ALOT (on top of roof) but since it blocks satellite radio reception, I returned it.

That is all LOL

Curious to see how these are holding up... I was wondering specifically on the start button cover, 8" infotainment screen surround, steering wheel covers, and the panel on the window switches.

All the pieces look the same as installed new.

Looks great I've done pretty much all of these pieces and have had them on for a while now.. they still holding up great. Last piece I added actually was the center console side panels (from TruFiber). I have the HVAC overlay and the full enclosed vent ring pieces on hand that I will install soon For anyone curious of the installs for these, I have a playlist covering just about everything for anyone interested: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...OqyBfEleTeLA8D

I do plan to add the map light switch/Onstar overlay as well but always seems out of stock, lol.

UPDATE on Carbonaddons

“Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan.”

I updating this thread because I had a couple of CARBONADDONS exterior pieces that failed because the clear coat had an issue. I notified them and they immediately are sending me replacement pieces.

This type of customer service is pretty rare so I thought I would acknowledge it to others that may be considering their products.

THANKS to RJ Valdez at www.carbonaddons.com

UPDATE: 8/29/22

As promised I received these replacement pieces on FRIDAY last week and I have already installed them. A WARRANTY is only as good as the company that stands behind it and CARBONADDONS certainly did. Thanks to RJ at CARBONADDONS!!!

I got the carbon shift cover that goes over the "chrome" part around the shift knob. The fit leaves a lot to be desired. Passes the 12 inch test, but looking any closer than that and you can see it doesn't sit flat at the aft most portion and you can still see chrome around the inner ring. It's not that it's not seated correctly, there just isn't enough material to cover what's underneath. I'd think twice before I personally ordered from them again.
