Ok so I couldnt wait and I actually just signed up for Carolina Motorsports Park Feb 19th/20th. Anyone recommend a place nearby there to get an alignment? I couldn't really locate any shops nearby that seem to be geared towards the track.

You don’t need a shop that’s geared towards the track. The alignment is pretty straightforward, I use a local Goodyear shop / with a trusted mechanic who does my car.

I’ll be there on the 19th and 20th. Which group are you running in?

Will do, have you been there before? Is it worth getting a garage? I probably just plan on rotating tires and possibly changing brake pads.

Yes I’ve been there one other time. No need for a garage. Track was repaved last year, so it’s really nice and smooth. Definitely a fun track.

Nice to meet you at the track! Beautiful car, I was trying to find your post in here about CMP. Didn't realize it was a reply to my own damn thread

Did you get any videos, would love to see them. I got some footage but the camera overexposed some of my laps, I'll have to use manual exposure next time. 3 of my runs today were ruined by the exposure.

Nice meeting you as well. I tried to catch up to you on track when you ran in our group, thought I’d play around with you for a bit, but you were moving. I need to drop mine into Sport 2 and Race mode next time to give that a try. Still running in Sport 1, which I know is either limiting my potential or keeping me on the track. I got some video from the PDR. I haven’t gone through it yet.

I was going to try to run with you in the last session but I saw you left early. I could have gotten some great shots of us together. I really screwed up so much of my footage though because I let the camera auto-expose, live an learn. Only doing manual exposure from now on.

CMP is super fun, I'm going to look for another trackday there in the near future. Do you have any other trackdays lined up?

sport2/race both felt good to me. Race does let you get quite a bit more squirrely, I have some footage of cold tires on race mode and the car was letting the tail out a little bit. I'm sure it's probably 3x worse with the ZL1.

Yep I wasn’t about to hot lap it like that. We just got off track and had 10mins to grid again. I went as hard as I could the previous session trying for that hero lap. I did get a new personal best and figured I wasn’t going to beat that. I know there’s a lot left in the car if I put it in race. I plan to try those modes at Roebling. We had to roll out. Wife and kids were antsy and we had a 5hr drive home.

I have the following scheduled right now with a couple likely:
Roebling - April
Road Atlanta - June
VIR - August (maybe)
Rockingham - Oct (maybe if they repave by then)
Road Atlanta - Dec
