CAD for ZL1 Fuel Tank Needed

I'm working on a custom fuel solution for my '17 ZL1. I could really use the CAD for the fuel tank. Ideally, this CAD would include the fuel pump, etc., but I'll take what I can get.

Sorry, I'm not interested in other fuel solutions. My car is exclusively a road course car, and many aftermarket solutions aren't compatible with steering wheels. I'm also above the threshold for what a voltage booster can support.

I need the CAD so I can make some fitted brackets for holding jet pumps on each side.

Please help me out if you have the CAD for the tank. I'll share the details of my solution once it's complete and validated.

I’m sure if you contact GM customer service, they’d be glad to turn over their proprietary engineering drawings.

They actually make CAD drawings available to the aftermarket through SEMA. I don't have a membership though.

Maybe buy a used ZL1 fuel tank on EBay, I saw a couple cheap there, ~$300 shipped IIRC.

I have a brand new spare tank long with new pumps, etc.

I'm certain multiple people on here have the CAD I'm looking for. The question is will anyone take a moment to help me out.

Have you looked into either the Radium universal fuel cells with integrated surge tank, or Holley hydramat to connect to end of pump pickup or jet siphon?

Yeah, I've seen those. I already have a solution in mind that I believe will great. My plan is to use almost entirely OEM parts.

A friend came through with the CAD information I needed. Normally, I would share, but it was provided to me under the condition that I would not share it.

I'll update with the details on what I'm working on once it's all working and validated.

This sounds interesting. If you happen to be around your spare tank and pumps take a picture. I’m curious to see what the assembly looks like out of the car.

Were you having fuel distribution problems ?

I've included a few pictures below. If you need to see something specific, let me know.

I've had fuel problems in the past trying to use solutions like the DSX tuning aux pump. Their kit just simply does not work on a road course with the way the fuel moves around. I see so many aftermarket providers falling into the same trap. What works at the strip won't necessarily work on a road course. It's a whole different ball game.

I'm also not a fan of the surge tank idea. It would almost certainly work, but I want to try to keep everything tucked away nicely in the primary fuel tank.

Katech is building a pretty serious engine for me, and when it arrives, I'll be needing a serious low-side fuel solution to go with it. The OEMs know what they are doing. Their hardware is no joke, and I like to build on that for reliability. I couldn't find what I was looking for on the market, so I decided to build it. If what I have in mind works out, it will be quite unique.

I remember reading about your fuel issues when I first joined the forum.
Thanks for the pics.
Eager to see your thoughts come to life. This will be interesting and you’re 100% correct on straight line car fuel systems are far different than ones that have to corner, accelerate, decelerate and high speeds and g forces.
I’ll be watching.

By chance you wanna share any details on your engine build?
Katech is top notch that’s for sure.
