BK Fire Extinguisher Bracket Install

Thought I'd share this installation. I did it slightly different than the instructions indicated. Not that the instructions were wrong, I thought the way I did it would be more robust.

Instead of using the screws that were included with the mount I used some flanged bolts and nuts that I had. Fishing the bolts from the backside was a bit fiddly.
Remove the seat from the car (I had the seat all the way up, not forward, to make it easier).
Remove the plastic side panel from the seat, torx screw in rear & phillips in front, lift up and forward.
Disconnect the seat belt and belt retractor from the seat.
I did the rest on a workbench, but the ground would work as well.
Lay something down to keep the seat clean and turn the seat upside down.
Remove the front seat heater vent control module, remove the torx screw and depress the two clips.
Unplug the other connector to get, just barely, enough room for your hand to get in there to get a finger in the hole.
Push a bolt in and fish it out with a STRONG magnet, this one is a snap-on give away, through the tiny hole. Yep, I dropped a bolt more than one time. All you need to do is rotate the seat on it's side to get the bolt to fall to a place you can get it with either your finger or magnet.
Put a nut on the bolt to hold it in place while you do the rest of the bolts.
Install the bracket:
I started on the lower right bolt first, then the upper right. The two on the left had to be started at the same time. It took some contortions with my fingers to hold them both up, but wasn't too bad.
Hold the bolt head with your finger while running the nut down and tighten.

The last picture is with the seat all the way down and fully back. Lots of clearance.

I've used the BK brackets in my past Corvettes. Good solid pieces and easy installation to the studs on the floor board, but removing the seat in my ZL1 has so far prevented me from buying one for it. I like your idea of upgraded fasteners.

I checked with the vendor who sells the adjustable extinguisher brackets, but the guy was a complete jerk when I inquired about his chinese made offering. For now my extinguisher is mounted in the trunk.
