2022 ZL1 Changes
When do you think the 2022 changes for the ZL1 will be known? I'm thinking the Eaton supercharger upgrade for the Cadi will be in the Camaro too. I can't see Eaton continuing production of both superchargers and GM building 2 versions of the same engine. I know there's a previous related topic on this.

I would agree that it seems highly likely that the Caddy upgrades make it into the ZL1. Considering the 2021's have only been available for 5 months now though I think you're going to have to wait another 5-6 months before you see any 2022 changes.

I tend to agree, the C7 Z06 got the better bricks and lid around the same time the ZL1 was released. While this was an issue they knew about with the over heating the ZL1 got to reap the benefits and never deal with the undersized bricks and lid. So I'm hoping they decide to follow the same course of action from the Caddy even if its small improvements.

Thanks. Since, March is almost here don't the 22s come out around August? If so, we can't be far from the release of the changes for the new model year.

That's faster than I was expecting, including the production start. Thanks for the link.

I'll go on to say the 2022 ZL1 will stay the same. Performance wise. Though if it doesn't I'll be happily surprised.
GM will reuse stuff and make new stuff while having similar but different designs across multiple platforms using the "same stuff". Here's an example: 2014 - 2017 Chevrolet SS used the exact same engine as the 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP. Yet the 2010 2015 Camaro SS used the updated slightly more powerful and efficient LS3. |

I'm with you. I don't think we will see any changes. Everyone seems to think that the ZL1 is getting the Cadillac "upgrades" but I think everything will stay the same. |

Eh. It would be nice to see those upgrades and bit of power increase, but ZL1 really needed LT5 or something. That's a shame, IMO.

As often as I've tried in the past, it's hard to predict the future. And why ruin the surprise?
