Never thought I would trade my C5 ZO6 for a Camaro but I did.....

Been a member on here for over a year and started hanging around the Camaro's when I started a car raffle fundraiser for our local Youth Hockey Club. We are now giving away our second one!

At anyrate, the dealer we work with on our Camaro's was out of raffle tickets so I dropped some off on Sat and I eneded up leaving as an owner of a 2011 2SS/RS L99!

The cars we have given away have been autos (L99's) and I have driven them before and alsways told myself if I ever did trade my Vette for a Camaro it would need to be a 6M and a LS3.

The dealer had a used LS3 on the lot and I asked to take it for a spin and they let me. I would have to say that the throw on the clutch was like a farmall M comapred to what I was used too! (dont take that the wrong way 6M owners) I figured the auto was not that bad, plus shifting can be a pain...

any rate my 01 Z with borla exhaust ended up getting traded. Ended up with not a bad deal. I missed the Corvette for a little while and still would not mind having another one but I will play with this new toy for a while.

Black w orange stripes and the IOM interior. First thing I will do is a CAI and some exhaust. Next would possibly be SS emblems in place of the bow-tie and clean up under the hood.

Car rides like a caddy compared to my Z06 and the bells and whistles of a 10 year newer car make it nice as well, plus my kids can ride in the back seat. I have owned two corvettes, and four turbo buicks and now my first Camaro. So far so good.

Thanks!

My last car was also a 03 Z06....it took me a year to find the car I was looking for....but the SS fit the bill...CONGRATS

dad2bjo, CONGRATS on the ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
