Traded my camaro for a camaro, new 5th gen from Atlanta area.

Hey yall.

So.. I'll skip right to the pics cos that's what yall want.

Last saturday I traded my baby of 1 year:

For a new baby with less problems:

2012 2SS A6, has the FE4 suspension.

So far I'm loving it. i've been to camaro5 before for various things for my 4th gen, but now that I have a 5th it's time to sign up.

My 4th gen was tuned at Hunters performance and saw a HUGE gain in drivability and performance. When I get a few more miles on my 5th gen (and recoup some of my money ) Chris will most likley be tuning this one too.

I'm keeping a close eye on his turbo kit too.

Few more pics for ya since everyone loves pics.

So anyway... hey yall! Nice to meet ya.

holy crap I spelled Atlanta wrong.. fail. Fixed!

Thanks. I loved that car and put a LOT of money into it. I was actually building an LQ4 for it since the Ls1 wasn't in top shape.

I became frustrated when the a/c wouldn't work right. The 5th gen was a bit of an impulse buy, but I've been weighing the cost of financing a new car vs fixing my 4th gen for quite a while now, and the 5th gen won out. I think the HUD and reverse camera was what pushed me over the edge. I've always wanted both fo these things.

Hopefully the next guy will love it as much as I did.

but I'm looking forward to having with the the 5th gen.

I did, when I got the car it was in a bad way and someone had tampered with the ecu.

It was having 31 degrees of knock retard in it, and was rich as it could possibly be.

The car put down only 214whp when I first took it to chris for help.

With an SLP lid only, restrictive exhaust and a generally abused powertrain, Chris managed to get it to 303whp before backing it down to 293 for longevity reasons.

It wouldn't squeal the tires at all when I got it, after Chris's tune it'd peel out, and would squeak the tires when shifting into second. It was a very raw violent drive even for a worn out stock car.

The LQ4 is still being built, but it's destination is unclear. It's a stock bottom end Lq4 bored .020 over, TSP 228R cam, TSP stage 2.5 LS6 heads milled .030. My goal was 400whp through a 4L80E. I'm seriously considering putting the LQ4 in my belair, though it's not in till it's in.

DarkFox1, CONGRATS on the ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Looks like there's quite a few here from the Atlanta area, that's good to know.

Nice 4th gen you had there! Gotta say though, the new ride is better.

Excellent choice in color as well!
