Another New PB of 9.65@143&9.74@143

Got another opportunity to get back to the track after my 9.77 at the Camaro Fest. Temps were a little cooler in the mid 80's on my first pass and DA was about 2200 instead of over 3000 like the fest and temps in the low 90s. My 60' time are still a little off because we have timing pulled out down low to keep from spinning which I did on the 9.74 pass, bad enough I had to peddle it w/1.49 60', that was driver error on the burnout. Second pass we were down to 81 degrees and DA was 2000. Hooked pretty good with a 1.47 60' and then 9.65@143. I just don't know if these Hoosiers that I ran last year are going to hold the power we are going to make by the LS Fest. I've just been worried about breaking the stock axles. Fedx just delivered my DSS axles yesterday so I will have resolved that issue going forward. Still on only 13 lbs and just got my smaller pulley yesterday so I can compare pulleys on the dyno when we get there. Hopefully next week since I didn't get there this week because of time constraints. We are barely pushing this new 2650 but one thing that will hold us back is fueling and I'll know how close we are with this smaller pulley that should make around 16 lbs of boost. I'll keep you updated.

Nice work Greg. Are you running one or two nozzles on the meth injection kit?

Just 1, 65% meth and 35% water. I think I could have run a 9.50 something last night but there was a big oil down on a twin turbo 68 Camaro and we were already 1.5 hours behind and it was midnight, we had a 2.5 hour drive home so we left before the 1st round and temps when we left it was down to 72 degrees, DA was still high but it was the best weather I could have had to make that happen. We loaded and left about 1230am and they were just starting the 1st round. Had to go. I'll be balls deep at the LS Fest and fingers crossed for good air in September.

Tough call on the 15s, we will get it dialed in better once on the dyno.

Looking back I wish I'd had pulled the other head off and had the gone thru and ported. Plus I would have changed the springs again and went with a better spring up to .700 lift instead of the .660 springs if bought with the cam kit.

Congrats, Greg! Keep it up and you'll be in the 8's before you're done! Great idea on the axles too, are u also upgrading your driveshaft?
I've decided to upgrade my shaft and axles before getting wheels and trying out the drag radials. Given that my car is an m6, there's no way I'm not going to start breaking stuff pretty quickly if I don't beef up the drivetrain a bit.

Why .700 lift springs? Bigger is not always better when it comes to valve springs. They are harder on the lifters. It's all a balance when it comes to setting up a valve train.

Congrats on the PB.

Thanks King, Not sure what I'll do on those this winter. Gotta go thru the heads since they are still stock. I'll look at some options for sure. Jim I've already done the Gforce Driveshaft with BMR loop and I will keep going till I run out of fuel and figure out the best route from there. I just want to make it thru the balance of the season and not break anything.

I'm trying to decide between DSS, GForce, and GMPerformance axles. I'm a little nervous about DSS; I saw in another thread where Parish was snapping his like matchsticks. I'm thinking either one of us would be a little tougher on axles than Parish with our PD blowers even though his car is making quite a bit more power. My M6 is certainly not helping in this regard either.
