Even though a new camaro has trapped 116 stock I don't see that being the norm and your right from a roll it should be gt350 all day unless the driver really sucks. But a tune should close that gap.

450 rwhp is a pretty weak cam though. My car made 435rwhp with no internal mods. Btw the trans gearing pretty much negates the 3.91 gears of the 1le. Shift points are nearly the same as a standard SS. I really think that a strong full bolt on 6gen would run neck and neck with my old car. |

The gen6 manual trans has the same gearing and a 373 gear to the 391 in the 1le. My cammed 1LE is 480whp and don't think that either car is set up from a dig anymore. The A8 will be the track monster for sure but on a role m6 to m6 will be a good race. I drove the new A8 and it was nice just not ready for an auto. car yet. But still 1le is not much heavier than a loaded g6 and with a 100 extra hp don't think the g6 would win on a roll. I have rolled from 40-120 with a 13 gt500 and my wife was in the car and the other car with driver only and he never pulled me.

Maybe you should just take it to the drags and see what kind of number you can put up instead of speculating about it? If you can run a 12.30-12.40 you can run with a Gen 6 manual.

Why take a car to the track that's not set up for a drag strip? That's not why I got it but have ran at the track in my past cars and no speculation here .

My thoughts as well.. Just don't see the car keeping up with a 13 GT500 unless he couldn't put the power down.. Which is possible in that car.

A gt500 with the 5.8 will walk away from a cam only 5th gen. It's takes modded zl1's to keep up with a stock gt500 especially from a roll.
