MRR says 85 - 90 Ft/Lbs for splined lug nuts M14 x 1.5 on 017 replicas

Yesterday got these tiny “dainty” m14 x 1.5 lug nuts direct from MRR for my winter tires / on my new 017 replicas. I thought the FedEx package was impossibly light but all 20 lug nuts and splined driver were in there. I’ve been reading old posts on lug nut torque and some say go 140lb/ft for even these smaller lug nuts? One guys said he used the stock lug nuts on his 017s (how was that possible unless he has a gen5 maybe; before the bigger stud change?) oh, the stud change to m14 some say is good for 170! Some say MRR said 100, some say MRR says no tighter than 110. Heard 120, 130 too. Jump once on the tire tool even. Read about smaller conical seats, flow casting, then what Darryl’s uncle tightens them to, what 4 out of 5 dentists recommend, and I give up and will recheck the hell out of the MRR torque figure given to me this morning via email.

“85 - 90 Ft/Lbs will do ”

I have the MRR017 wheels and the Gorilla locking lugs and tightened them to 140 ft/lbs, no issues...

The studs and the required clamping force (as determined by GM engineers) are what dictate the lug nut torque, not the type of wheel or lug nut being used. You still have the stock size studs, and GM specifies 140lb/ft. That's still the proper torque spec. The only thing that would change that is if you're coating the threads with antiseize, in which case you could knock 10-15lbs off the torque, because you'll get the correct clamping force with less torque with the threads have less friction.

I have three sets of MRR wheels and use the factory 140lb/ft spec on all of them.
