aftermarket dampers or shocks

Are there any good dampers/shocks out there for our cars? It seems the answer is no. Tire Rack lists Konis and Bilsteins, but I've read that's a mistake because they're 5th gen parts numbers. At least the stock suspension is good.

I'm interested in getting camber plates, because 2.0 degrees negative on my V6 1LE isn't cutting it for me. It would be a great time to change dampers, but I don't think anything is available. I was curious about the GM Performance lowering suspension, but GM presents it as only being available for non-MRC SS Camaros. My car is a V6.

I was keen on an Ohlins kit, but that company has decided not to build for the 6th gen. I don't have the budget for Penske or JRZ.

I've read that the DSSV suspension is quite stiff for the street. Since my Camaro is still daily driven (part-time), I want dampers that leave a pretty decent ride. How did you find the ride quality in your car after switching to DSSV?

Honestly not too terrible, and we have some really harsh roads (i4) right now. I’ve got some medical expenses i need to cover, or else I’d be keeping them lol. The performance is fantastic.

So there are these custom Koni double-adjustable units from Pro Parts for $2600. Designed for use with OEM SS springs in a non-MRC car. Requires front struts as a core and 3-4 weeks production time! https://propartsusa.com/products/cop...aro-ss-1le-zl1

Then there is the KW V3 coilover. I know little about KW ... but I gather they sell in significant volumes. Does anyone know, is KW quality at the level of Koni Sport and Bilstein B6?

KW is absolutely superior.. driven cars with all the above, had KW V3 on my 2011 Mustang.. can't imagine to this day how anything can be better for the price or anything close to it.. incredible street manners

It might be on the V6 1LE.

I think you are correct though if you are talking about the SS 1LE MRC calibrations.

I had BC Racing coilovers on my 5th gen. Are they not making for the 6th gen?

They are, but I'm not keen on getting coilovers because I'd rather not lower the car. Also, all I know about BC coilovers is that they're cheap. What's your experience with them?

I thought they were great on my 2010 SS, although I didn't ever track or autoX that car (just drag). Loved the adjustability, the ride was good and they were quiet. Really solid bang for buck in my book. My car was lowered on them and the stance was awesome. However, maybe they're adjustable enough to run them at close to stock height? I'm not sure.
