6 speed manual question

I just got headers put on and tune. When i step on it hard my transmission goes to neutral and rev match turns off. Any reason to why its doing this?

Most definitely sounds like a short in a wire somewhere or there is something in your tune dealing with the skip shift maybe. Just a 2 cent guess and plus slot of people have had clearance issues with headers first being installed to where they were creating weird issues and turned out to be headers rubbing and melting wires.

Slip?

Just got headers and tune done. I floored it twice from like 5 mph and it will go into neutral and turn my rev match off. I have a 6 speed manual. Then i tried it from like a 50 roll and it didnt go into neutral. Any reason why it would do this?

I've never had that happen before. I would either record it to show exactly what's happening or, take it to a shop to have them look at it. I wouldn't take it to a dealership, however.

A friend who uses hptuner. Hes been doing it for 10 years. It was a street tune. You think it has something to do with a tune?

The rev match stuff makes me think that and earlier you mentioned O2 sensor issues. You really need a dyno tune and have someone check it out.

The only thing a dyno is good for is bragging. So your transmission is jumping out of gear. That is not in the tune. Does the engine stay under power? What are the RPM before and after? It is hard to get a transmission out of gear under power. What gear does it do it in?

a non load baring dyno is only good for bragging. a load baring dyno is good for getting a proper tune with out getting tickets or going to jail for excessive speeding. trans going out of gear has nothing to do with the tune. something mechanical is wrong. if the skip shift was screwed up it would lock you out of 2,3, and 5th it wont bump it out of gear.

do you have TC or Stabilitrak enabled?
Try it in race mode with everything off.
I'm pretty sure there is a safety mechanism where if it senses a large amount of torque in a short time, it kills the throttle.

Probably has been fixed. It was wiring harness being shorted by my headers.
