Help me lower my V6?

Hey guys, so a future mod I might do would be dropping the car a little bit but I had a few questions. I see most kits are like ~$300 and thats fine. But how much does it normally cost to get them installed?

Also, my biggest question, how much can I drop it? I want to still be able to go over regular speed bumps without worrying and not have to change anything about my driving just to not scrape my car up.

The first kits ive seen are a 1 inch front and 1.5 rear, and one about 1.2 inches. Im also not sure what brands or where to buy from to get the best product/deal.

Note: I do NOT have magnetic ride control.

Installation can vary. I believe I was quoted 1100 for springs, installing and alignment not to long ago using eibach pro. If you can do them yourself it's actually quite easy but please make sure you do not hesitate on getting your car in for an alignment immediately.

1100? That doesnt seem right at all. I just had exhaust installed for $80. Im not super comfortable working with whats under my car so I dont mind paying to have it installed but if its anywhere close to that I'll have a friend do it with me, or not at all.

1100$ for suspension installation is quite high. On my previous car I had a whole kit of coilovers installed and it was around 350$ CAD for the whole install minus the alignment.

You should do it yourself. Your car is not that old thus there is no rust or anything that would make you not able to do it. It is also pretty straight forward as to how to do it. Few bolts here and there and that's it.

Do an alignment afterwards. No bargain on that!

Im sure me and my and my friends could do that then. How much can I realistically drop the car before I have to worry?

Today I got too close to a curb (that was way higher than I thought it was) and hit that little plastic piece under the car. So I am going to be parking further away or backing in from now on.

V6 Lower

AFE drop was 1.25 in front and in the back... no clearance issues and I'm running 1 inch spacers... great product.

Nearest Les Schwab store: 20 hours away.

lol oh well. I can get a kit for $300 or less, hopefully install it with some friends for the price of some food, and then whatever the cost of alignment is.

There's are plenty of install videos online, provided you take your time, jack properly & rent some spring compressors from a carparts store, takes longer to remove tires and Jack the car up then then install...

And I second the Afe power springs, very happy with mine.
