I have a problem with that and I think many others do as well.

I never said they were out to get me, but this was not handled properly
100% agree with you.

Believe me it will effect my decision to keep my car longer or move on to something different as well but let's be truthful here about the Challenger. Unless you're buying at the very top of the food chain there is very little, if any cutting edge technology engineered into this old platform. All Chrysler's products have suffered quality issues and the chances that the company will even be around in 5 years is split about even.

To suggest that the Challenger is a zero issue vehicle is misleading at best. All one need do is go to their enthusiast page and start reading the posts. With the exception of the signature cars Chrysler tends to be at or very near the bottom for quality about anyway you want to look at it so please don't try and tell everyone that the Challenger is some hand crafted jewel that you'll have zero issues with.

The truth is that just about any car you buy today will have less issues than cars from 10 - 15 years ago. All manufactures have their issues. Even the flagship vehicle of the non car person, the Suburu is seeing a recall of 640K cars across their entire product line. And if you think you can go out and buy an Audi which can cost you nearly twice as much as a Camaro think again. Consumers Affairs have them rated at 2 stars. Mercedes is there as well with a 2.5 star rating.

None of this helps us with the infuriating issue we're experiencing but be aware that unless you plan to move to a Honda Accord or a Camry you'll have to suck it up and wait for the fix. It's just part of the deal with cars that push the edge of technology that they'll suffer from time to time with that new technology.

I do want to reply about the cutting edge technology, I miss my GPS / radio in the Dodge, I am not trying to sell everyone on Dodge. that's not my agenda at all. I am just giving my experience with the brand. I have and still own a lot of different brands Chevy included. I just do not like what I am seeing now with this issue. If you want to say making 797 HP out of a 6.2 is not technology I don't know what is.

Dropped it off Sunday at the dealer I bought it from. We will see what the new fix is this week. I was told it changes day by day. I test drove a ZL1. Maybe they can keep it. Has anyone heard of issues with the 10 speed or the ZL1 in general?

The 10L90 in the ZL1 has only been good news, from what I've seen. The 10L80 in the '19 SS and other models isn't as great for power handling when you start modding. It is the Ford reference design with a GM sticker on it. Check the Mustang forums for why the 10R80/10L80 has its' own issues making it a dog.

If GM offered a buyback for 2SS owners that got them into an '18 ZL1 for 10k more (~16-18% discount on ZL1), I wouldn't think twice and I'd be much happier. The eLSD and 10L90 are what make the ZL1 amazing. I'd probably sell the blower and intercoolers for NA mods. =)

I understand everyones frustration, I drive the same car with a A8. But a "fix" is not something that happens in a few months, or even a year or 2. It's a huge undertaking to redesign, test, and manufacture a part to fix 4 years worth of cars and trucks. It's also bad on the dealers who can only do what GM allows them to do to fix the problem.

Just be patient people, A fix is hopefully coming.
Really??
The point is :
They have to put on the market a car already well tested and without this kind of issues!!

Their fix is to deny full powertrain warranty if you have anything done to your car. What they did to my car...pushing Attorney General for consumer warranty fraud and performing illegal actions per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and the FTC Federal Law

Obviously, the burden of proof falls on them to prove it, but good luck winning the battle of attrition with their lawyers even if it boiled down to that, tit for tat.

Recently bought this car and within a few days noticed the shudder. Took to dealer and the triple flush (TSB 18-NA-355) was performed but I still notice shudder. Dealer says I need to "drive car for 200 miles to complete repair." Isn't this fix supposed to be instant or can it improve over time? If still exists after 200 miles is torque converter next step? Thanks for any info

Took mine back to Jake Sweeney in Cincinnati for the 3rd time. They called to say they are replacing the torque converter and keeping it for another week.

No, I've had it in twice for the shudder: March and October of 2018. The shudder came back awhile ago, but I was too busy to take it in. Then, the recall came for the power steering issue. So, I took it in for both. I've just been living with it by coasting and hard throttle.

The last time I took it in, they said the torque converter would be next if the shudder came back.

Got my car back yesterday. I was told that they did not replace the TC because GM has a new fix for this (that we all know about). So, they did the flush and put in the new fluid. Only time and mileage will tell if it's fixed.
