OK stupid question on ZL1 shafts into a SS
I know the Chevy performance offers ZL1 axle shafts for the SS, don't know if they are the same length i.e. is this a zl1 "style" shaft cut to an SS lenght OR ZL1 axle shafts bolt in?
the second question, we know GM performance offers an Zl1 automatic driveshaft for the SS, but the do NOT offer a Zl1 shaft for the manual. To make it even MORE confusing, when the GM performance shaft was announced it was listed for both auto and manual. I check the 2016 SS manual driveshaft part number it is 84306999 I check the 2017 Zl1 manual driveshaft part number it is 84306999 So correct me if I'm wrong it looks like the 2016 SS driveshaft manual is the ZL1 shaft auto or manual... Or since the ZL1 verts have the standard SS diff, GM uses the same shaft? I also show 84100512 as a zl1 manual drive shaft...

Hey oldman, so the stock ZL1 half shafts fit the SS? Or do I have to buy the GM Performance 84398126 ones?

Check out that thread in the member car section, something like Camaro Drag Program build. He has pictures of the axle upgrade in there.

for memory, only one side of the eLSD is different anyway ( in length not strength). The ZL1 convertible comes with different axle (one side) the regular ZL1 non-vert. I have only changed the driveshaft so I don't have all the data on the axles (sorry engine rebuild and HP seeking got in the way).
