Street Tires for a ZLE?

Tried to do a search but not getting much.

What do you all recommend for all around good street tire on the ZLE? Something that last just a touch longer then the Good years and hooks up better.

Was looking at the Pilot Sport 4s...

Thanks!

Michelin PS4S are the way to go for a daily.

PS4S if they're in stock.

I personally like the Goodyears the standard ZL1 comes with. They can be meh in the rain, but put a little heat on them and they are very sticky.

PS4S here as well, love them.

I have a setup with front 19X10 wheels and 285/35/19 Pilot A/S 3s on them for winter/cold weather driving when it is damp/dry. They come in stock sizes for the rear. I was expecting a huge drop off with that setup, but it is actually not horrible and still fun to drive IMO.

if you keep the 325s in rear it doesn't leave much choices..

Goodyears like the normal zl1 uses
Goodyears like you have
Bridgestones
Hankook
toyo
PS4
PS

all 1400 to 1600 options

If your wanting long lasting then by all means switch to a 340 tread rating on PS4..

I love my 305 30 19 Kumho v720s great in rain, great dry traction lasting fairly long.

as soon as my 345 toyo r888r are worn down I'm putting the 355 30 19 v720 viper tire out back and another 305 v720 in front again

Your gonna give up some traction going to PS4 recommendations.. the Kumho are stickier but a tad more noisy but for 200 bucks they are the biggest bang for the buck.

305s all the way around gives ya about 20 or so choices even some 335 or 315s

lots of track guys running 305s sq. I wouldn't track these but your not looking for that!

For the street I disagree with this. For a stock ZL1 they hold really well. Had T/C completely off last night and not much slippage at all rolling on aggressively to WOT/hard backroad cornering etc. Plus they are awesome in the rain.

Another option is PS4S 305 front, PSS 345 rear (not available in PS4S).

PSS is very similar to PS4S, and the extra width looks cool.

If you want max grip on street and ability to just drive to track and wear them down to cords, PSC2 fit well in 315 front/345 rear.

This is what I'm driving on street now because I live less than 10 minutes from LA canyons, and too lazy to swap on my PS4S

Just put MT ET Street SS in 305/35/20 on the rears and got another set of the Goodyear supercar 3 up front. Tire Rack has a great sale on the goodyears

I live in the Denver area too and am researching tires to replace my stock Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar R3's, which are solely for the track and really have no place on a street car.

You have to study this closely because although, for example, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is a great summer tire, it's specs make it clear that it is not a tire made for Colorado year round.

As of this moment, I'm thinking one more like the Michelin PILOT SPORT A/S 3+ ZP (W- OR Y-SPEED RATED) Ultra High Performance All-Season tire.

It was 80 degrees and sunny today and my 1LE was slipping on dry pavement at half throttle! These Goodyears are track only.

Yeah, Gonna be tough to find any all season tire that will work on Denver winter roads with the hp/torque in these cars. I just park mine over the coldest months.

The factory Goodyear’s are great on the track though. Have you been out to HPR for a track day yet? If not you should come on out. These cars are a blast on the track.
