I might be up for that one, since the color changes about that time and the wife would love it...

Heres a tip from a semi-local (Blairsville GA) native who rode motorcycles at Dill's gap in the '70's, before it was fashionable - don't t refer to it as "tail of the dragon", to the locals, it's just "the dragon".

PS, the whole of north GA in your neck of the woods has some of the best motorcycle roads anywhere. I'm guessing the Camaro likes them too. 60, 17, 348, Wolf Pen Gap Road, 28, War Woman Road... I get happy just thinking about them. And oh yeah, BBQ...

First thing I thought of...... Great time of year to go with less leaves on the trees you can look ahead 2 sometimes 3 turns for trouble. I go middle of the week catch a good warm afternoon. I have been going since the mid nineties and I think I have had two clean runs were I never caught traffic. I quit counting how many passes I have up there after 100. I got my first wave over last year and ran 12 mins from the store to the overlook. I still cant believe I got a wave around... |
