Will this kit keep functionality with the factory PDIM? I see the DDX418 has usb ports. I'd like this kit, and be able to use PDIM. Can't wait to see it installed. Thanks!

Gunny, the PDIM will work but only as a charger. If you want to play music you'd need to hook up via the USB ports on the headunit. As far as I know there is no headunit out there that retains the music function of the PDIM.

Ok, thanks BigWayne. Dang, might just stay with the factory then. Or, guess I could string it to the glovebox.

If you're worried about the cord hanging around and what not, just find a headunit that has bluetooth audio streaming and just keep it plugged into the PDIM to keep it charged and just stream the music.

May have to do that. But, I think the sound quality is a bit "off" via bluetooth. Great idea that I didn't think of though. Thanks wayne. I'll quit jacking the OP's thread.

No problem glad to help. And like I said, I'm not 100% on the fact that you cant retain the PDIM with some headunit out there, I just don't know of any so it may very well be possible. I'm sure someone will mention it if its out there.
