GM is at the top of their game!

First they came out with the A8 with the best feature ever (shudder)
and now they have built me the lightest production car in America
that also coincidently does 0-60 slower than every other Camaro:

Email from GM:

Just Super!

Interestingly, SS models with the 8L90 are heavier than those with the TR6060, but LT's with the 8L45 are lighter than their manual trans counterparts. Not exactly sure why, but I guess the transmission cooler makes up for the majority of this difference.

I call total Bull-Sh!t on this table. It lists the 1LT and 2LT V6 camaro as
having the same weight. So all the 2LT add-ons apparently weigh nothing..

2LT Heads-up display: Apparently weighs 0.0 oz
2LT 9 Speaker Stereo: Apparently the 3 extra speakers + bigger amp weigh 0.0 oz
Heated/Cooled Seats: Apparently the additional stuff weighs 0.0 oz
Bigger MyLink Screen: Apparently weighs the same as the smaller one
Lighted Sill plates: Apparently weighs 0.0 oz
Aluminum accents: Apparently weighs 0.0 oz
Other Stuff that is added: Apparently weighs 0.0 oz

Not buying it..

(But thanks for going to effort of researching this)

That table is dead on for my car, 1SS, A8, Coupe
I weighed mine at our track & it is 3lbs. heavier than the table shows.

All stock except for the wheels and tires.
2 questions:

1. Do you have traction control turned off?
2. Are you somehow doing a rolling launch or are you doing a
real quick release brake and floor it?

I am asking for tips because my best is 5.8 (only got this once)
and most my times are 6.0 with a V6 all stock 2LT RS with 20"
OEM GY model POS runflats. "0-60 website" reports 5.2 is possible
for the V6. So I'm way off and flooring it seems hard to mess up.

Depends on options. I have seen 1SS A8 cars as low as 3580. I am guessing magnetic ride and moon roof is 100lbs any way.

I don't have a moon roof or magnetic ride. A lot of people get 5.2 to 5.3
times so I wonder what the secret sauce is. I sometimes wonder if the 5.2
is with stock 18" tires and perhaps the 20" RS rims and tires make a
difference?
