Resurrection of 'Z'
The day arrived and i went to pick up one, mint resurrected Camaro Z/28.
6 months and i am led to believe, a £25.000 rebuild bill later,i was presented with the love i nearly lost, what a toss!! I am here to celebrate and share the deep gratitude that i owe to everyone on this great forum. Trevor Cowell of TJs' in Oxted offered up his services,as the Chevvy prophet and general 'yank car guru'. Pete 1,helped source and ship parts,so to anyone nationally in need of genuine American automotive assistance, you could go a lot further wrong than asking these guys for help first. Oh yes and to help me re-connect with my car i got a couple of extras....a NoWeeds electric exhaust diverter,a 2 thirds 'wrap' and a new plate with Z28 as the last 3 digits. Gonna wrap it up in cotton wool soon,so i will then look forward to seeing some of you in the new year,i will be leaving the 'sport mode' button alone in future. |

While I was getting a couple of filters at Parts USA up here in sunny Manchester there were a pair of Euro spec Camaro headlights on the desk going south to a body shop for fitting to a damaged car. The cost seemed to be about £2000 a piece if I remember correctly.
As it was a Euro spec car they had to fit the Euro headlamps which are considerably dearer and rarer, I wonder what they do when there are no Euro units in production. Start building your own I suppose. |

YES! What an entrance haha.
No looking back since you recommended NOWEEDS at V8UK, hands down the best choice I made to get a kit made up. |

The Zed is dead; long live the reborn Zed! Was down your way last weekend Derek and was sorely tempted to try and get hold of you for a looksee. Welcome back mate (get rid of them Trofeo shite tyres and I reckon you'll stay safer) Look fwd to a spring sighting of the Mighty Z.

Derek. Thanks for the opportunity to do the rebuild on the beast, I really enjoyed the challenge and thought of it as my own all the time it was in my possession. Great to see a happy outcome from the whole affair. And I get to learn more about our great cars, bonus!
