English Car Show
Yesterday,i went with a friend to the biggest modified car show in England,that also incorporates a Hot Rod and Custom Car Show.
My mate has one of very few Gen 6,2SS Camaros' in the U.K.and i'm fortunate to own a similarly rare Black Z28. Anyhow,unbeknown to us there were awards and trophies' to be won for various categories of cars in the part of the show that was exclusive to American cars. So after about 5 hours of perusing various highly modified cars from around the Globe,listening to music,eating and drinking,we returned to our cars to find a sticker announcing my car had won a prize. My 'Z' only WON, an on the day,'Best In Show,post '72' award,hopefully pic attached. We could not hang around for the award ceremony,as there was a big storm that was going to ambush our trip home.As i did'nt fancy 160 miles of Surfing in my motor,we made our excuses,picked up the award and legged it. |

That's awesome. Looks like it gets more love in the UK than it does in the USA. :-)

Congratulations! Where in England was the show? I used to travel to England a few times a year on business and found living in Italy our town of Senigallia had a August Americana car and music fest. Car lovers everywhere!

The show was in Peterborough,so it was popular with modified car nuts North and South.On the way home,we passed a mini convoy of Germans who had come over for the party,cos thats what we do well.
