I'm 10db over the limit at my local track

I consistently get black flagged at Atlanta Motorsports Park for being too loud. The limit is 98db and I'm at 108. My exhaust is stock from the Kooks cat back, all mods are in my signature.
I run on multiple tracks without issue and would just pass on AMP events if the track wasn't literally in my backyard.
The car won't let me run in Tour mode. It throws codes and goes into limp mode after a lap or two. It will rip for 30 minute sessions in track or sport modes.
Any recommendations on how to quiet the car down just a bit? It's nearly as quiet as stock now except at WOT.

have you tried any sort of laguna pipes? really might need a resonator welded in for a permanent fix.

That was going to be my suggestion too. Any if if they pass tech inspection? The pictures in MatthewAMEL's post look very jury rigged.

I bought some nice Laguna pipes from JRL1LE. I would PM him and find out where he got his. He's probably getting some new ones for the ZL1 he ordered.

Thanks guys, I was considering some Laguna pipes. I'll pm JRL1LE and see where he got his.
It's really hard to believe that my car is so freaking loud. There must have been 50 cars at AMP yesterday. Everything from clapped out Miata's to a McLaren 720s and I was the only one getting flagged.

98 db seem low, but guess it is what it is. You might want to check this out. Another member on the thread mentioned dropping from low 100's to below with the magnaflow addition. I picked up one myself and hopefully going to have it installed this weekend. my car is simply too loud for my tastes with the headers and hiflows....
Albeit, if the laguna pipes work, maybe a cheaper solution for the only track you're having the problem with. lol

This was my setup, I got them from another SS 1LE owner local to me. He said a local muffler shop did it for about $70-80. Here are some pics. Car was stock, I passed no problem on 90 db days.

Get rid of the quad tip NPP and put the non NPP dual tip muffler on. Sure makes it quiet. I run the borla atak NPP with valves closed at the 103 db tracks, the stock dual tip suitcase is drastically quieter than that. I'm heads cam headers, car is loud!!! The muffler is such an easy swap just a couple 2 3/4" butt clamps.

I wonder how the non npp compares with the npp in Tour mode? I cannot figure out why the car refuses to run correctly in Tour, but it's a moot point anyway because it's still over the limit.

Thanks, John and Matt for the info on Laguna pipes. I think I'll get some made up before my next session at AMP. If they helped quiet John's car down to under 90db, they should get me under 98.

Stock npp tested by Lethal Camaro at 94db. Heard about one guy pulled over for loud exhaust in sport mode even

I'm sure someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the NPP opens under full throttle in any mode. Doesn't explain why it's running bad in tour mode. Kinda odd...

I put a remote control on the valves so I have complete control of them. Connected it to my garage door opener built into the car, so at the track I just close the valves and they stay closed.
