I ordered Arc-8’s myself today, but plan on using them on the track with the 3R’s since they’re lighter & PS4S on factory wheels for the street.

You can't do any better than the 4S for a ultra high performance dry and wet street/track tire.

Do you folks in colder climates have any concerns with performance in lower temps? I'm running these on my Z/28 and getting ready for an autocross event where the temps will probably be in the high 30s to low 40s in the morning. I know these aren't the optimum conditions but I just don't want to do any damage to these fantastic tires.

I've driven on them at temperatures down to 38-40 degrees, they were okay to get by, but traction was obviously worse. The main problem is they take forever to heat up and quickly cool back down because the pavement is so cold.

Tire Rack says if they are exposed to sub-20 temperatures, they should not be moved and flexed before gradually allowed to warm up to at least 40 degrees. At high 30s or low 40s I don't think you'll have problems if you drive "normally" to the event and wait for the tires to reach the "normal" temp range on the dash before going hard on them.

My car is garaged. I have no hesitation taking the car for a short 30 min. drive on any sunny afternoon with temps in the 20-32F range as long as there's no ice and with the understanding I can't ask a lot from it.

On a sunny 45F dry or wet afternoon I might ask a straight-line 100% from it after the tires are warmed up.

Jesus, is everyone waiting on ARC-8s? Been on order since early Oct. Spoke to Cory a couple of days ago, said some of them have arrived and they are waiting on another shipment in a couple of weeks.
