Eventually we won’t be able to put on our shoes without an add coming over a tiny speakerphone embedded in the shoe itself. Well, at least until they have us all fitted with chips so they can send the ads directly to our skulls.

After a little experiment, I get one ad with safari and with duck duck go, I get nothing. Google looks to be up to there normal shenanigans.

Just what I was hoping for. More commercials in my life. That's the main reason I kicked Derelict (direct) TV to the curb. I'm a big proponent of capitalism and free enterprise so I'll just figure out a way around it.

If I get any ads for car or Camaro related stuff, I am totally fine with that. I understand that this site doesn't pay for itself, and sponsor/vendor accounts are not at the level that they used to be.

But if I start getting non-car related stuff, then I will go back to blocking ads on the site.

If you're using Chrome or Firefox as your web browser, installing the addon/extension "uBlock Origin" might help. I'm using uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger and haven't noticed any pop-ups thus far.

Added benefit of uBlock: It blocks ads on YouTube. If you want to take things a step further, the addon works well in combination with SponsorBlock (a community-sourced addon that can automatically skip mentions of sponsors during videos).

Of course, if you're going to install any of these things, please only do so at your own risk.

One more thing: I just noticed that I still see the Camaro-related ads near the top of the page. Just no pop-ups.
