Center Stripe Option.

I'm close to making a deal on a ZL1. It has the center stripe option and protection package, which I really don't want but at this point that isn't a deal breaker. The question I have is can the stripe be removed easily? It may grow on me though. Also, those that have it, share pictures if you have them.

Mine came with a couple of scuffs on it. My guy that wrapped my car said to just leave it. He said it would be a PITA to remove it, without damaging the paint. For the record, he was in no way affiliated with my dealer or the body shop who would hve done the work. He said he wouldn't do it.

The dealer should be able to remove it without damage. I have had body stripes removed before. I told them I will not buy it if the stripes are there. You should see how fast they got them off. It was a perfect removal.

What color are you getting? The only thing about the stripe that I DON'T like is the fact it does not go all the way to the windshield and back glass and the trunk stripe doesn't wrape around the front edge either. So depending on what color it can stand out really bad. Like White with the stripe for instance. I have Hyper Blue and it isn't as noticable so it doesn't bother me as much. But my first color was white. The 5 Gen ZL1 stripe covered the whole area and I don't know why they changed that. I don't see it being a problem removing at all new.

You also lose the exposed carbon fiber with the center stripe.

Honestly, i could prefer the center stripe with the black hood scoop on certain colors... white, yellow, silver, red...

I had the stripe on my car it will come right off with no problems
I left mine in the sun and just pulled on a corner and it will come right off.
The newer it is the easier it is to take off,It does not damage the paint taking it off.....
I like it much better without it on.

The car in question is red hot. I think I will purchase it and see if the stripe grows on me. It may tie in well with the hood vent, but I do dislike the incomplete coverage near the windshield. Mainly, I just want to make sure I can remove it without any problem if I choose to.

It's just vinyl, it'll peel off with some heat.
