Used Camaro price check review

Hello!

I'm looking to get back into a Camaro after nearly 30 years. My first car was an '87 Iroc Z28 and definitely missed it. After that, My Wife and I bought her a 2017 Fifty anniversary V6 RS in Hyper Blue. Nice car, but I need that V8.

So, here is a local car to me that I'd like you guys to do a quick look at and see if it's fair. KBB and CarGurus say it's a "Fair price" but it's over $1200. I'd like to get them down $2500 more. It has those nasty rear louvers and one of the wheels has some curb rash.

I'm going to look at it today.

Thank you!

Thats honestly a fair price, especially when you are dealing with a 2SS 1LE

I notice the the exhaust tips appear to be inverted or backwards, curious what is under the car as in brand and type. Miles look good, you're unlikely to get anywhere iwh the louvers or the wheel rash as far as price goes. I think the price is just way to high for a 4 year old car, that's basically new 2023 pricing for a 1LE, it's not far off and this is ~5 years old. Just my basic first impressions.
I sold my 18 1LE about two months ago with about 42K miles and I certainly didn't get top dollar by any stretch of the imagination but it was $27K

A new 2SS 1LE Manual is almost 54K new. I still think the rarity of the 1LE is what will hold the value. Did you only get 27K on trade?

Agree about the louvers and wheel rash. The best I could deduct for rash is maybe $150 a wheel says google. The louvers are just attached with double-sided 3M tape, just a little elbow grease to remove.

I did notice the exhaust tips as well, curious why they look like that. Also, really hard to tell what tires it has on it.
I bought the Maroney label for it just now, because why not. The window sticker says it was listed for $55, 710.

I assume it has a few extra option then , like the Nav, all weather mats added. To me currently that a fair/decent price.

Fully understand. Just listing what was on the window sticker.

$42k MSRP
$7k - ILE
$895 - NPP Exhaust
$495 - Nav
$40.00 F. LIC Brkt
$995 Shipping charge

So, $51,425 was the actual retail selling price?

I'm in a text chat with them now. I'm going to offer $37,690.

At first glance they look Borla to me with those rolled tip edges.

Get it in front of a mechanic who can see how many times the ECU was flashed.

It's low on coolant.
