Shadow gray is very similar to NFG as far as shade, it just has a blue tint to it. NFG and Shadow gray are both quite a bit darker than the Satin Steel, especially noticeable in brighter conditions.

I'm pretty sure the deanship had JUST received the 'Satin Gray Metallic', as I didn't see it days prior when I took a white/black 1LE for a test drive. When the salesperson sent me pictures, it was located in the back of the dealership, off the main lot, and it was grimy and dirty.

I think I lucked out with the 'SGM' paint code. I haven't seen any others around. Not yet anyways.

I think I got a fair deal; considering that I live in California, and the tax rate is a killer.

I wouldn't be able to give you an answer on that yet. I haven't really put much time behind the wheel to explore the different driving modes.
