Reading all these posts brings me back to the 5th Gen Top problems. Dealerships blaming owners, saying it's in spec, denying that there is a problem. When I went through my buyback with GM, I brought up the point of Breech of Implied Warranty to them. If a dealership or GM is not willing to fix your while it is under warranty, they are in Breech of it. I placed a call to my states Attorney General about this. I would suggest all of you having problems and getting the run around to do so also. Cover all bases available to you. I also emailed Mary Barra at GM. If you do, state your problem, what you want as a resolution, and do not waver from it. You will get results. I did.

I'm definitely hoping for the best. I first took mine in at 1000 Miles due to the rpms jumping up and down when driving along at a steady speed and a slight shudder. When I got it back the rpm up and down were fixed and haven't returned to date.

This time I took it back at 5100 Miles due to the slight shudder returning but definitely worse than the first time. Right now it's driving fantastic no shudder at all and the shifts are smooth. At WOT that even feels better all around too. Just hoping it stays that way.

Just had the A8 service done today. Seems better, but time will tell. They definitely used some kind of solvent flush, the odor was fairly strong for a while.

1.) still having same issue after getting most recent tsb flush done. (Car was flushed 3 times one trip then 3 more times on another visit prior to the recent new fluid)
2.) They wont replace the torque converter since gm instructed them to not replace these anymore.
3.) The dealer is basically telling me its nothing else they can do.
4.) GM customer service expert has not contacted me after I’ve opened my 2nd case
5.) Better Business Burea can’t proceed with a claim because our lemon law states it has to be something reported within the first year or purchase.

So now i have no choice but to let the lawyers handle it.

Link? P/N? thanks

OK found this: https://www.phastekperformance.com/C...d-24-07-05.htm

This may be the way to go. I think the fluid changed , shuddering 8s have damage that will show up later. Do not think GM will ever correct just as they did not recall/fix the early 5.3 AFM issues and folks now having to replace lifters and cams.

That's also roughly $1200, not including install and tuning required, and it voids your warranty.

Those of you that got 18-NA-355 done, did your dealers run the "required" GDS2/picoscope data test that confirms the shudder? If so, can you post a clear image of the results?

Mine did, but no results listed on the invoice receipt, just said that they did it.

My dealer also said they verified the shudder with the picoscpe at least according to the invoice. Noted vibration of 25hz that went away when tcc lockup disabled. No graphs or charts on the invoice though. I have only put about 215 miles on since the flush per 18-na-355, but no shudder, crisper shifts and over all better driving. I am using the Range afm disable in hopes that it will be better in the long run.

Apparently my car had this fix. I called today about getting mine in and was told they did it according to the directive by GM. My guy who I’ve been friends with for years told me they also had a trunk in for same issue and the reason they kept my car for 2 days was waiting on the special part to come in to do it all which they did, and they reflashed the tune on the trans. I have t had any issues with mine at all but he said they would look at it again just to be safe when they do the power steering recall.
I have to say my car runs better than ever and I had just started to get a slight shutter prior to taking it in..... I’m also on record with. GM Customer Carr and have a number in hand and on file for this issue. I told them I want my car, no replacement but it has to be right, I don’t care if it requires a new trans (preferably an A10) but this car has to be right and I. Red to be made whole if not better than I was or should be.
We’ll see but all looks well thus far.....

Do you know what software version range you have? I had one I used in my c7 but it would throw check engine lights. Do the newer ranges throw codes?

My dealer also ran the picoscope test but I didn't get a graph.

I had the flush done yesterday. So far no shudder and it drives better than ever. Nice crisp shifts and smooth acceleration. Hopefully it stays that way
