Smoked rear reflectors installed

Just installed the smoked rear reflectors and they look so much better. They were a total pain to install (without removing rear diffuser) but worth all the swearing and lacerations.

Looks great. How difficult was the install and where did you get them.

Looks good! I’ve never replaced my reflectors. So for all of the posts I’ve read no one has asked. Do these smoked reflectors actually reflect red?

Nope, they reflect white (and are thus illegal in many states, if that's why you're asking).

Well I’ll put it to you this way. There’s no reason to give the man a reason to go on a fishing expedition to get you on the shoulder of the road. So yeah, that’s why I was asking.

Got them on eBay and the install was nothing short of physically damaging and emotionally traumatizing...but worth it.

Yes I've heard from another that its a bit tricky. Smaller hands might be helpful.

No, but they are DOT complaint in most states. Mine is not one of them, but been altering my rear reflectors for decades and haven't run a front plate in almost as long. Not a single issue. Have even been pulled over with no problems. Ps: My tint is also too dark. I am not worried...but if you are paranoid or risk averse I would understand passing on them.

Yes, and a very short screwdriver and a small and powerful magnet.

The easiest, and what I think the best way is to plan this around a catback or axleback install. Once the suitcase is out of the way its still tricky but much easier. I had these on my '17 for years and now on my '22.

Agree pain in the rear to install, illegal in my state, but look great!

One of our members did an install video:

I might just look for some vinyl overlays and save all the hassle.
