Anyone running 275/40/20 on the rear
I’ve searched and found a bunch of older threads but no conclusion on how those members made out.
I have the square setup now 245/40/20 and want to change to, 245/45/20 front 275/40/20 rear on new rims, 9.5”. Some posts I’ve read say it will fit others not a clear answer, but there’s not a very big gap now from top of tire to the fender opening.(stock susp.) If I went with the stock SS tire sizes that gets me the width increase but that sidewall diminishes a little more than my setup now so that’s not an option. Trying to balance the two different dimensions,( width & sidewall) the tire calculator shows 265/40 as a compromise, would the 245/45’s up front be ok? TIA. Rob.

Update on this if anyone is thinking of doing this size;
With the help from a neighbor and his tools, I was able to do a test fitment using the wheel off my‘15 and mounting it to the ‘23. concerned with the overall height and how it would fit being a 275/40 up from the stock 245/40, so it looks fine and there’s still a 1”gap.(from 1&1/2 with the stock 245’s.) For the front I’m going to 245/45, all new wheels using 9.5” on the rear to accommodate that new size & 8.5” on front.
