Dee,
A BLOWER?!?! That is so COOL!

I need one too.

I doubt you can keep your power train warranty in force if you add a blower but let me know if you hear different.

When we went to the drag races, Chris talked to some guy from Gwatney that does the supercharge with all GM parts and it's supposed to keep it in warranty. He said it's like 5 grand.

Stringr69, when are we gonna all get together?

Dee,
There was a guy there with an Orange SS - Maggie, LS-9 cam, cold air intake and maybe a cat-back. He was running 9's. Is that the guy you were talking to? I think Gwatney did his car. They would have to show you the warranty particulars. It was not 5k - it costs more $$$. Blower kits are roughly $6500 and up just to begin with. Add for installation and a few more toys and it gets expensive fast.

You can have a "certified" shop (maybe Gwatney would qualify?) install an E-force blower and use the Edelbrock canned tune and you have the option to purchase an extra warranty from Edelbrock. This 3rd party warranty only stays valid if you do not have ANY other power adders or a custom tune. That means no CAI or headers etc or the warranty is void. I think Magnuson has a similar program but i'm not positive.

If you want to play, you have to take a risk.

We need another excuse to get together soon. I am up for it.

I'm up for a cruise if anyone else is. I've got others that are also interested if we can get a time together. Sorry guys, we're not all black though. Lol
Gwatney would be the only group that is close by. I would read the warranty very carefully. Agree - I would expect it to cost 7 - 8 grand for a blower package. I am looking right now and trying to decide blower v. cam.

Baby, that was for a cam set up with headers. Blowers end up around 10K +. If gas keeps going up i'm gonna switch the LS3 out for a 4 banger lol.

Sorry Babe! Still learning exactly what I need. I miss you as my gas filler, car detailed and engine knowledge guy! Oh and you WILL NOT change my baby girl to a 4 banger!

Mark, read above. I want headers, cams and tune not blowers. Lol. The guy you are talking about with the orange did most of the work himself and so did the guy with the red Camaro. I know those guys. They are in a little friendly competition of "who can get their car faster than the other".

Does anyone wanna go cruising next Saturday? It's probably too short of a notice for this Saturday, but anyone wants to I'm game for that too!

I'm ready for a rematch with that blown orange camaro. I need to redeem myself after that first round elimination from last time.
