Smile Stainless Works O2 Sensors

Hello Everyone - I'd like to add Stainless Works headers and full exhaust to my 2016 2SS A8 with NPP. However, with SWs high flow cats I'm worried about throwing the CEL. And I don't want to have my car tuned and void my warrenty.

I called SWs and the customer service agent said installing O2 simulators from Big Daddies Garage will keep the CEL from coming on. Has anyone successfully used these items..?

Any help & feed you can provide is greatly appreciated...!

I haven't heard of this but I'm interested to know as well since I currently have a CEL on due to headers/exhaust.

I have that setup. It definitely caused a CEL. If o2 sims came out that worked that would be awesome but so far I haven't heard of any. I also set off a post catalyst fuel system too rich code though that I'm not sure if the big Daddy o2 sims could fix

Its been using in many different cars who runs test pipe (no cat). You can also find in Ebay or Amazon.

I personally used on S2000 and it worked. You wouldnt throw code with HFC tho.

I had the Stainless Works cat back system installed. I get the PO420 code. When I reset it does not come back until I drive the car hard. I drove on vacation 900 miles one way with no code until I dove it hard on curvy roads. Camaro SS runs fine and sounds good.
I ordered the Big Daddy Simulators, I will let everyone know if it works.

So you still have the factory cats? If so then it sounds like you might have an exhaust leak. I took out my secondary cats and my check engine like does not come on.

Yep you were correct. I went back to the installer a third time and they removed the exhaust and corrected a leak by the driver side cat. The leak was only when it was cold and very little when hot. Once I showed them the leak on a cold start they came in during off business hours to fix it.
Thanks for the info it helped me a lot. No more CEL.
