Do not leave it, stay for the oil change.
Take a bunch of pictures of your car, the wheels, around the lower rockers (lift points). Write down the mileage. Put a sheet over the drivers seat.

That's the best way if you dont trust the random minimum wage worker to be assigned your vehicle. Then only bring the car to the dealer when it's going to require someone special and getting paid a lot more money. |

Yea I would look into doing it yourself if you can. Don't have to worry about getting it damaged that way and you know that it's done right.

If you don't want to do it yourself just fine a local small shop you can trust.
Also you can find a quick oil change station like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline. They usually have a pit so there's no need to jack the car. The service is done right in front of you. Clearly You should find a station that has good ratings

I am lucky. My dealership has a dedicated shop for oil changes. It uses a pit so no lifting involved. There also is a big window in the waiting area. So I could watch them do the oil change. I confirmed with the tech up front it was a 10 qt. fill and we checked the stick level together before I left.
Check with the dealership up front. Mayybe they have a similar setup.

Don't blame you one bit. If I had to do it over I'd simply request the oil and filter to take home.

Anyone had luck with a dealer handing over parts for the free maintenance visits? I can't imagine they would.

Make sure they put the filler cap back on after the change! I drove it 500mi before popping the hood to paint the engine cover. The LT1 spit oil on the cover rails, strut brace, and most hoses/parts in the immediate vicinity of the filler location.

As someone said, these cars are easy. Only bad part was I didn't compensate/anticipate how much force the oil comes out...take note and make sure you have a big enough pan to catch it all, ask me how I know haha. Besides that, I'll do my own every time, super easy.

I'm letting the chevy's free oil change forego, just received Mobile 1 and AC Delco PF64 from Amazon. I'll be doing first oil change myself sometime in March when I pull Camaro out of hibernation. I also plan to install stahlbus valve for easy drain out in future.

I don't trust anyone with our girl. I do all maintenance and upgrades. Hope...I just hope there is no warranty to be done. I'll be the bothersome customer.
I done my Borla secondary cat delete back, on the floor in my garage.
