Cadding
Help me out here guys and gals. Does the vert not come with the cadding on the bottom on the sides underneath. The coupe does, has a gray looking kind of stuff. All the studs and holes are there for it but its not there. I guess its for sound deading from the road I dont know. Bought this with 6000 miles so I dont know?

What is "cadding"? Never heard the term before.

Those 2 pieces are from under my coup but the vert does not have any. Makes me wonder. It has all the studs and holes but the covers are not there

I can't tell for certain exactly what area of the underside of the car you're showing in the photos, but if that's essentially where the cross-braces are on the convertible (mid-chassis) then there is nothing attached there on the 'verts. My suspicion is that it has to do with the cross-bracing being in that same general location and maybe the issue is an interference?

Gentlemen, Me thinks his son meant “cladding” lol, Honda puts that stuff under the front drive HRV and it must be removed for every oil change.

That's what i was wondering if they left it off the verts. Their is a bolt to the car body that's about halfway from the front corner brace going to the back. Kinda in the middle of the brace on each side of the car. That would interfere slightly maybe, but not a big deal. Hopefully this is a better pix where it goes on each side. I think it would fit just fine under the brace

Thanks this is exactly the info I was looking for as I bought the car with 6500 miles on it used so I was unsure what someone may have done to it. I don't think flex would be any kind of problem. The stuff is just about like a card board kind of thing. Im sure its their to cut down on noise from the road and tires. |

I have no idea if this actually occurs, it's just speculating as to why it -might- not be present. On the flipside, the interior cabin of a convertible, even with the top up, is considerably noisier than a coupe. So, it might be a useful add-on for the coupe and generally not be helpful for a 'vert. Dunno. |

I put cladding under my vert and to me its much quite not near as much tire road noise. Its noticable for sure and fits with out much hassel. Have to cut a small notch where the midde of the brace bolts under the floor board but the rest is the same. A worth mod I would say for sure
