Procharger Air Inlet Install Issue

I installed a Procharger P1X kit this week (2017 SS/LT1), but I'm having extreme difficulty with getting the hard plastic S-shaped supercharger air intake to fit over the inlet to the supercharger. I contacted Procharger, and they assured me it was supposed to fit. They recommended applying some heat before attempting to install. I fought with it for quite a while with it with no luck. I did apply "some" heat with a hair dryer, but still wasn't happening for me.

I measured the OD of the supercharger inlet and the ID of the plastic inlet tube. There is almost .100" difference between the two. (Supercharger inlet OD was .100" bigger than ID of tube).

My question is what has been the experience of others with this tube? I can get it hotter with a heat gun of course, but I'm concerned whether or not heating and forcing the tube is going to crack the tube with that much of an interference fit.

Mine was difficult to get on too. I just kept working at it and it eventually went on. It was a tight fit for sure.

Update... Took quite a bit of heat from my heat gun, but once I got it hot enough it slid on fairly easily actually.

Theres no way it would have gone on w/o the heat for sure.

I cut a small chamfer on the inside of the plastic tube so it started easier... Made a difference, only about 1/16" chamfer.
