Question CEL P069E after Header install

I just installed some Speed Engineering headers along with their xpipe kit.
This setup deleted both the cats and i removed the AFM valves from the back. Wondering if this has anything to do with the AFM valves not being on the setup. Car was running perfectly fine before the install. I was tuned from Cunningham Motorsports and they did tune out the AFM. Wondering what could it possibly be.

I had this code after an almost dead battery. Cleared it and never came back.

This code reared its ugly head among with another when I had an exhaust leak directly behind the drivers side catalytic converter.

I'm guessing it has to do with an exhaust leak than because my car starts right up and I've never had this problem before. I will take it to a muffler shop and have them weld the new exhaust system for me. Will keep y'all posted

The way I cleared it was disconnecting battery for 30 mins.

Or, disconnect battery and press the brake for about 5 seconds.

Neither one of those methods will clear a check engine code. Codes are stored in the permanent memory until they are cleared by the GM Techs computer or a code reader. Even then the codes wills stay in the historical memory for some time afterwards.

I agree with you. The steps I told will ONLY reset the ECM back to default. CEL codes will remain.

This code is for the AFM Valves. The car checks if they work every time you start the car. If they are unplugged it will cause this code.
