Removed rear diffuser/splitter

Anyone completely removed, or cut the rear splitter/diffuser?

It does look good and it may also catch air under car at 150 mph so not a bad idea at all.

I thought the purpose of a diffuser was to change the flow of air under the car at high speed.

Removing it causes turbulence under the car which can cause the vehicle to lift more at higher speeds

Is that not correct?

Only if you trust wind tunnel testing over Facebook.

Yes it is! The one above clearly is not worried about high speeds on a road course.

Whatever floats your boat,, I say! I'll keep my diffuser, to, well, uh, diffuse!!!

Am I the only one who finds it ironic, that the picture of the Camaro with no rear diffuser also having a parachute and it not being indicative of extreme high speed?

I guess if you aren't on a turn course, it would be ok if all you do is go in a straight line.

I just never seen a car with a parachute running Nuremberg or with no diffuser.

Aerodynamics is a funny thing I guess

That car runs at least 150mph in the quarter, removing the stock suit case muffler(which will be the first thing I do) would leave the factory splitter catching air at high speeds.

Exactly what I mentioned in an above post. I wish I'd thought of that since I did go 149 on one pass with my 16ss 2650 Maggie. Dam, missed that boat. Plus on my street car I could run 4 tips like my C7. I'm in.
